The role 

We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic environmental professionals with a background in civil infrastructure to join the Consents Monitoring Team in the Strategy, Regulation and Science Group as either Senior Consents Monitoring Officers or Consents Monitoring Officers.

We have two permanent full-time positions, and a permanent part time position, all located in Palmerston North.

About you 

To be successful in one of these roles you will ideally have: 

  • A tertiary qualification in environmental science and/or experience in environmental management of civil infrastructure or large-scale earthworks operations.  
  • Experience in compliance monitoring of the RMA or other legislation.
  • The ability to critically assess and analyse information. 
  • The ability to exercise judgement and initiative whilst working within a regulatory framework.
  • Proven skills in the areas of project management, written and verbal communication and facilitation, experience or an understanding of mātauranga Māori and working within Te ao Māori.
