Based in Palmerston North and reporting to the Manager Emergency Management, you will have a wide range of responsibilities to support the administration and delivery of the associated outputs of the Emergency Management Office. Ensuring the operational capability of Horizons to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency management related events. You’ll contribute to the Civil Defence Emergency Management Group outputs, ensure that Horizons Regional Council (Horizons) meets its operational Marine Oil Spill and Navigation Safety requirements. You’ll have a strong focus on ensuring appropriate capability for the successful operation of the Group Emergency Coordination Centre.
We are looking for a confident and experienced team player with a can-do-attitude for this key role in our Emergency Management Office and the region. With excellent relationship management skills, we are looking for someone with experience, knowledge and qualifications in supporting and managing Emergency Management outputs with relevant industry experience.
