The role 

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer focused individual to join the Animal Pests Team of the Catchment Operations Group as a Regional Response Supervisor. This is a permanent, full time role. While our preference is for the position to be based at our Marton Offices, we are also open to considering the role being based out of our Kairanga Offices.

You will primarily be involved in the Animal Pests Team’s planning and delivery of vertebrate pest control across the Horowhenua and Manawatu districts and responsible for the day-to-day supervision and training of field staff. You will provide reporting, quality control, collection and storage of operational data. You will have direct industry experience in pest animal control and have exceptional communication, relationship management and time management skills. Skills and experience in operating relevant machinery, in particular Quad operation is essential.

About you 

The role requires the successful applicant to manage customer expectation, project leadership and provide technical advice and support. You will also be required to liaise with, respond to and manage a variety of internal and external customers. Your positive and friendly attitude will be what makes you stand out. Being familiar with Horizons’ major work programmes and having knowledge of Local Government processes and procedures would be beneficial.
