Information Support Officer Print & ECM Fixed Term

Are you organised, detail-focused, and motivated by helping others access and manage information effectively? We are seeking an Information Support Officer to join our Corporate Information Team on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2026, covering an internal secondment.

The Role

This is a unique dual-role position combining Print Room operations with Electronic Content Management (ECM) support, contributing directly to our ongoing shift toward digital and sustainable information practices.

You will oversee the daily operations of our print room while supporting the delivery, configuration, and maintenance of our ECM systems (including SharePoint). Your work will ensure that staff across the organisation receive high-quality print services and timely support with managing digital information.

What you’ll do: 

  • Run daily printing, scanning, copying and document production
  • Document production for Council meetings
  • Deliver high-quality printing, binding, trimming and laminating
  • Prioritise urgent jobs and maintain print equipment
  • Provide layout/design advice and prepare files for production
  • Support digitisation and scanning of paper records
  • Assist with ECM systems (e.g., SharePoint), including troubleshooting
  • Assist the Records team by giving support with SharePoint 
  • Help test upgrades and new digital functionality

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in document/records or administrative roles
  • Strong IT literacy and confidence with digital files
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and great customer service
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Awareness of Public Records Act, Privacy Act and Archives NZ standards
  • Desirable: Familiarity with ECM platforms, M365, and information governance.
