The Role 

The Information Officer (Print) role supports our busy Corporate Information Team as we roll out an exciting new Electronic Content Management (ECM) system. This is a 12 month fixed term role covering an internal secondment and is based from our Palmerston North office. If you're someone who thrives on juggling multiple priorities, loves structure, and is ready to play a key part in supporting staff through change - this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You will be the ‘go to’ person for print requests as they come in the door. As part of the Information team, the successful candidate will be part of a skilled team that manage our corporate information and will play a key role in the future of how we store and access our information.

You will undertake various duties throughout your day, including: 

  • Document production for the Council
  • Preparation and processing of mail, freight and courier services
  • Assisting with the management and flow of corporate information and records across Horizons, ensuring compliance with best practices.

About you 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, has a hands on, can do and flexible attitude, is highly organised and an interest in records management is essential. There will be a handover provided to enable a sucessful onboarding.

Ideally, you will have experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and general office technology, as these tools are central to the role. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with people are essential.
