Horizons Regional Council is offering an opportunity for someone to facilitate a collective approach across the region, and coordinate effort within Horizons and the wider rural industry, for the delivery of Freshwater Farm Plans.
The Catchment Facilitator (Freshwater) is a two-year fixed term role formed to strengthen capacity and capability to deliver on the governments Essential Freshwater Reforms. We are looking for a positive individual who excels at building effective relationships, possesses a keen eye for identifying catchment management issues and opportunities, as well as being well organised and able to bring people together to achieve results.

We are looking for both a self-managing technical expert and a great communicator with the ability to relate to a wide range of people including catchment and community groups, iwi and hapū, central government agencies and other Horizons staff. This role will involve project management and delivery, facilitating meetings, presenting and report writing.
You will have a good understanding of legislative and policy requirements for freshwater management and freshwater farm plans and understanding of New Zealand farming systems.
